What really worries me is the number of plastic bags we use every day! Just imagine! Everyone goes shopping once in a while. And wherever one buys something he is given a plastic bag to take his purchase back home. When I think about it I feel my flesh creep. But jut today has been my happy day! It was for the first time in Nizhny Novgorod that I've seen paper bags offered to the customers! It means someone else is thinking about it!!! Don't you?

Connected with what Liliana has just written, I think that the amount of trash is unbearable. The problem here in Russia, at least compared to where I grew up in America, is that there are few trash cans. Given the lack of trash cans, the amount of trash in the streets has risen. Of course people too are to blame because they do not keep hold of there trash. At least I. My opinion it is not difficult to hold onto your trash until you get to a trash can. Put the trash into those plastic bags of yours and throw them away at home. Just think how much more beautiful our city would be if people took the time to throw their trash away. Let's make this city and world a better place by increasing the amount of trash cans and lowering the amount of rubbish.

Bring a bag, whether it be plastic or another, when you go shopping. Place all your purchases into that instead collecting a million different bags. Whenever I am in Fantastica or Floors or Chocolate I laugh at people with five or six small bags that are hardly full. Just put them all into one or two bags; it is even easier to carry that way.
